I use Barton 1972 on my Leicas (all three are black paint). I haven't bought a strap from them in years but the model I have is the Composer which has a little leather bits to prevent the rings from rubbing against the body. My straps came with a shoulder patch which I removed not because it wasn't good, comfortable or well made (it is all three) but because I prefer a simple strap. I've used these straps extensively over the years and am very pleased with them.
