ktmrider2 Posted January 24, 2024 Share #1 Â Posted January 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a very nice M4 which came with a MR4 battery. Â I purchased (I think) the adopter for the current battery but I do not know which battery to buy so if anyone can help. Â My understanding is the MR4's voltage does not have to be adjusted. Â And a link to ebay to purchase the adopter and battery would be really useful. Â Thanks!

TomB_tx Posted January 24, 2024 Share #3 Â Posted January 24, 2024 In most old cameras I use the MR-9 battery adapter with a 386 silver cell. The Mr-9 circuit reduces the applied voltage to pretty well match the output of the old PX13 mercury cell, and the meters work well. However on the MR & MR4 Leica meters the center battery contact is really 3 widely spaced prongs, which do not reliably contact just the smaller center contact of the 386 cell and may contact the body of the adapter. So I find the Wein cell woks better in an MR4.
