Ian Piper Posted January 18, 2024 Share #21 Posted January 18, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought one of these. It’s a very good fit for the Q3. https://billingham.co.uk/products/hadley-digital-camera-bag_colour-grey-canvas-black-leather Ian —

Not sure what is wrong with the bag I posted. It’s a nice and well designed bag, it’s sturdy and will protect the Q. Has a strap and an handle, so you can choose to carry it crossbody or carry it by hand. Certainly it’s more dignified than a cheap and ugly average Lowepro. Besides, Leica had a collaboration with Hermès, so why not a Louis Vuitton? Just as a reminder, the Hermès set was priced at 50.000$, the LV bag is a bargain by comparison. Leave it on the floor where it can be stolen? 😃 😃 😃 David

If there is one thing I have learned from the internet, it’s that all Leica owners are just filthy rich fools that spend ridiculous amounts of money on cameras that are just jewellery anyway. I will take ten of those bags! Just because I can!* 🤣 *may not actually be true… 1
David Wien Posted January 19, 2024 Share #28 Posted January 19, 2024 (edited) I think the Peak Design bags are proportionately priced, well-designed and well-built. I bought this one for when I want to carry just my Q3 and a few other things, I am very happy with it, (I tried the 3L and found it just a little too small.) Pelu2010 Posted January 20, 2024 Share #31 Posted January 20, 2024 I went with a peak design every day bag. this bag is disappearing in public. You don’t feel it and it’s stealthy. for my Olympus om2 I had the first tenba. I loved that you could make it bigger and smaller if needed. cheers

David Wien Posted January 20, 2024 Share #34 Posted January 20, 2024 Thanks for the clarification. I have often wondered whether thieves could just cut the straps when the bag is behind you and make off with the bag without you being able to stop them. Over the years have had two customers who had the basic scenario. Someone distracts them (ask direction or some such)…someone comes up from behind with one of those evilly sharp box cutters, slices a strap, yanks and they were gone. Unfortunately a determined thief is often successful. That’s why as mentioned in another thread always have insurance or a no fault warranty coverage that includes theft. Frits48 Posted January 20, 2024 Share #36 Posted January 20, 2024 For my Q (116) I have a ThinkTank Mover 10. I have a combination grip / L-plate on the camera, a Artisan Artist strap and carry a spare battery. A perfect snug fit that works for me.

My ex gf also had a LV bag for about 3 years and she sold it for slightly more than the retail price. Long story short, she found a local buyer that was looking to acquire one immediately. I’ve been told that this is not uncommon in the luxury bag market.

Myself and my father each purchased a Rolex in the mid 70’s, paid about $800 each. About 5 years ago they were gifted to my two son’s….now valued at about $10000 on the pre-owned market. And as Leica owners we fall into this category. In 1990 a new M6 retailed for about $2200. A good used M6 today runs $3000-$4000. It does pay to buy ‘quality’.
