@SAronianMerci beaucoup pour votre partage ! Ça aide beaucoup !

La 3ème image de l'OMI est visiblement plus plate et grisâtre alors que la 1ère image est plus réaliste pour les yeux, le contraste et même peu de 3D. Monochrom gagne:)

May be flatter but I enlarged to 400% in Capture One and the Q3 spike is still good.

To better compare, it should be done on DNG files.

I should add that during lockdown I scanned all my old B&W negatives from the 60s & 70s and liked the images so much I bought the Q2M and have loved it.  However, since getting my Q3 a few months ago and setting a function button to switch to B&W, the Q3 has been my preferred camera, as I get the choice of both styles without the need to carry 2 cameras.  The use of colour channels and AI in Lightroom to edit (as referred to in the video) influenced this choice.  As a consequence my Q2M is up for sale.

Derek, 2 questions, please:

- was a video above made with Q2M?

- do you have a video with setup for scanning negatives and old photos with Q camera?

Thank you!

Hi,  I'm afraid  I have not used the video on either camera and I use a Canonscan 9000F Mk II to scan my old photos and negatives.  Derek

Hi Derek,

Quick question: how do you set a function button to switch directly to B&W? So far, I have only been able to set buttons to "Film Style/Leica Looks", in which case you still need to choose B&W from the Film Style Menu.

Thanks in advance!

Marcus

I‘d preorder a Q3-P without the logo and 256GB internal storage. That would be my desert island camera.

256mb on a deserted Island?!  Hmmmm, what would you do with the extra 200+/- mb of storage?  Wilson??        Agree, it would make a great tool.

Do I believe it's on the horizon? I don't know why we are even talking about the possibility of a Q3 Monochrom when the regular Q3 is still nearly impossible to get. Adorama's expected in-stock date got pushed back, again. Now it is April 2024.

I am totally on board with the idea of a Q3m. Arguably the best bw street shooter ever. It'd be the M11 with lightning fast auto focus, except smaller, lighter and faster to handle.

No one forces you to use video on a Q. If it reduces the cost per camera because more people buy them, that can’t be a bad thing.

Didn't work for the Q-M....so much for that theory
