Price of Wetzlar CLA

I have a Summicron 50 that has a very stiff focus ring, and a slightly loose mount. I can live with the mount, but do wonder what a replacement might cost. But what would the CLA be, more or less? Is it different for other lenses? I'm thinking of doing the same for my 90 Summicron. Last question, how long does it usually take? Thanks and sorry for so many questions at once!

Hard to tell, they will send you an estimate first. Is there any reason not to send the lens to any of the reputable Leica repair services? Likely cheaper, certainly -a lot- faster.

I thought Wetzlar was my only option, that's why I asked, but good to know there are other possibilities. I live in Madrid, Spain.

Within EU I recommend Will van Manen Kamera Service in the Netherlands but there are plenty others.

The wait time is still long but nowhere near that of Leica.

Up to November 2023 it was 300 euro for a CLA at Wetzlar without any ‘extra’ work being required. Wait time is 3 months for current lenses and 5 months for older/vintage lenses. I know this first hand as I sent off a few bits.

Thanks for all your replies. I have found one in Valencia called Carmencita that looks promising, with lots of experience in all vintage gear. Do any of you have experience with them? Thanks again.

They were on my short list for a range finder minor repair on my M10P.  I found that Casanova Foto in Barcelona has a good tech and used them.  FYI the range finder repair was €180.  

I believe that Casanova also has a Madrid store that might be worth talking to.
