Manual focusing is very hit and miss for me with this lens, especially with moving subjects... but when you nail it, you feel pretty good!

I absolutely love this lens! It looks magical for portraits wide open, but also beautiful and sharp when stopped down. Here's a picture from Jotunheimen in Norway.

I just wish it was a tad lighter, as in my lens collection it's clearly the biggest and heaviest.

This part of Norway is a mandatory 75 APO region! 😉

Nearby the Jostedalsbreen, Summer 2022, 75 APO:

I have this lens too and it fits perfectly in my 21 SEM, 35 cron, 50lux, 75 APO cron, 135 ApoTelyt set up

Lov the 70cm minimum focusing distance, it makes it more useful to me than its 90 APO bro sibling (that I am now trying to sell)

I have the identical kit , the 75 is amazingly sharp and a pleasure to use

I had a copy of this lens,
Fabulous when in focus, but I've encountered a lot of random focusing errors with both the M and the SL. I've always been in doubt as to whether I was at fault or whether the optics were at fault.
I'd love to get a new one, but I wonder if the summicron is a reliable lens to use, or is it prone to mechanical problems?
I would like to add that I have an Elmarit m 90 with which I have never had any difficulty focusing.
Thank you for your feedback.
