dstierer Posted December 31, 2023 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an M11 with latest update. My question is lag time for the screen to turn on. Once I switch the camera on, I hear the click, but the time it takes for the screen to come on is about 14 seconds, which I think is really too long of time. Anyone else have this issue, or am I not setting something right. Battery is fully charged and firmware is up to date. No other issues and camera works fine. Thank you. Advertisement Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 Hi dstierer, Take a look here Screen on lag time. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jgeenen Posted December 31, 2023 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2023 (edited) That seems to be very long. I don't use life view very often, but it shouldn't take more than a second or so (after the click). Likewise with the preview function. Did you check your SD card? A slow card with lots of images could cause a slowdown as well. Try a preformatted, fast card (or without card, the internal memory is the fastest) and compare. Any improvement? Ray Harrison Posted December 31, 2023 Share #3 Posted December 31, 2023 +1 on trying the card suggestions above. My M11 with the latest update takes just north of 2 seconds between turning the camera on and the live view screen coming up.
charlesphoto99 Posted December 31, 2023 Share #4 Posted December 31, 2023 More ridiculousness. One should be able to use the slowest card available on the market, formatted in camera (not in third party software) and it shouldn't take fourteen seconds.
SrMi Posted December 31, 2023 Share #5 Posted December 31, 2023 (edited) My first M11 took too long to turn on. My dealer replaced it. Edited December 31, 2023 by SrMi
dstierer Posted January 31, 2024 Author Share #6 Posted January 31, 2024 I changed SD cards and the problem went away. As suggested, a card with many images on it. Also, cards do wear, so changed the cards and everything is working fine. Thank you for all your help. Dennis
