I have seen the glossy chrome top plates of M6 and would LOVE one such camera above... I did this for a previous silver M10-R but only for the red-dot. I soaked it in acetone for 2 hours, and the paint came off easily. It looked sleek in silver aluminum and is quite appealing for the silver body. Unfortunately, I don't have any images of it. Swapping the black lettering for a silver one would be really cool.
Advertisement Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 Hi Fred Miranda, Take a look here The M10-R is the last digital Leica I expect I'll ever buy. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
yanidel Posted December 26, 2023 Share #22 Posted December 26, 2023 I started my digital rangefinder journey with a EPSON R-D1, and each new generation brought that same type of questioning. Leica M8 : bought after a lof ot back and forth thinking Leia M9 : immediately ordered. Leica M240: unexciting, passed Leica M10 : loved it at release time but had no money, finally bought used 4 years after. Leica M11 : unexciting, will pass. Leica M12 : unless there is significant improvements in the viewfinder and a bag full of cash suddenly falls from the sky, I will probably pass. With the M10, Leica reached maturity with the M system. For now I plan on using it until it becomes unfixable or does not make sense financially to repair. Still own and use the M8 by the way.

I remember your outstanding street photography from your blogs of over a decade ago. Do you still use that 1.2/60 Konica Hexanon? Nowadays we need to mount a a camera on our head for a chance for our pictures to be seen. Kind of ironic no? Yes, still own and shoot the 60mm Konica Hexanon at times. But with time, I tend to go out with one lens only and usually it is the 35mm Lux Asph.
