Advertisement Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Hi bab, Take a look here What is the most exotic lens you've used on the SL2 / SL2-S ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
graeme_clarke Posted December 24, 2023 Share #22  Posted December 24, 2023 A couple of exotic "Heath Robinson" arrangements - both on a 601 but they'll fit my more recently acquired SL2S. Using an M-L adapter, one with an M macro bellows and the other a combination of a 90mm M barrel and a 3-part extension tube set with adapter rings. The lenses are X4 standard microscope objectives screwed into an adapter ring that cost about £1.50 from a well known on-line market place. The chromium plated lens has a focal length of 150mm - cost about £4. The black anodised one is 1/infinity to give a little more working distance - cost about £12 - both new from China! The camera tells me they're f19. DoF in miniscule!!!! I'll send a couple of images in the next post...  Graeme Welcome, dear visitor! farnz Posted December 25, 2023 Share #26  Posted December 25, 2023 I've used - and use - a few exotic lenses on my SL2-S and my SL before that. For example: 1934 Leitz 73/1.9 Hektor 1947 Carl Zeiss Jena 50/2 Sonnar 1948 Zeiss Opton 85/2 Sonnar 1951 Carl Zeiss Jena 58/2 Biotar Helios-40 85/1.5 (Biotar copy) Helios-44 58/2 (Biotar copy) Zeiss 75/1.5 Biotar, Minolta 85/2.8 VariSoft Rokkor Konica 21-35/3.5-4.0 M-Hexanon Dual Leica 80/1.4 Summilx-R Pete. How was the experience with the Konica Hexanon? I've used it briefly on the SL but corners were pretty bad on my copy.
farnz Posted December 26, 2023 Share #28  Posted December 26, 2023 I don't recall using it wide open at 21 mm on the SL2-S, it was at f/8 most of the time, so I don't recall the corners being noticeably bad. I've used it wide open on M cameras and the corners were okay - no more than a stop and half vignette and not overtly smushy. For a bona fide wide angle zoom lens I think it punches well above its weight. JohnathanLovm Posted December 26, 2023 Share #29  Posted December 26, 2023 The Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 ver.1, not the best lens but still do well for my need. I wonder if the limited edition of China lens consider exotic?
