Hello!  I was curious what most folks use to clean their M6 bodies (isopropyl, metal varnish, etc) ?  It's in great shape, but around the shutter dial and in the hotshoe there is some grime/dirt build up.  There is also some slight dirt (it looks like?) under where the advance lever is.  It's only able to be seen in the right light and doesn't just rub off.

A little lens/glass cleaner on an old soft toothbrush will clean most hard to get to place. Don’t soak the brush, it should just be a little humid to assist the process.
Wooden toothpicks are also usefull to scrape off sticky grime in hard to reach places.

Microfiber cloth cut in strips and wrapped around the tip of a flat bamboo skewer may also be helpful.

If glass cleaner isn’t up to the job, alcohol in moderation usually won’t harm.

Isopropyl and a soft cloth is all you need, if you are trying to get into tight gaps use a toothpick inside the cloth to push into the tight spots. Give the whole camera a wipe over and then you can consider it ‘yours’.

I only use those large Zeiss (could be any brand) micro fiber cloths for my M11 and MP (black paint). In severe cases I wet one edge of the cloth to remove more aggressive dirt 😉 as described in the manual (above) actually…
