dugby Posted December 11, 2023 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) In preparation for a significant journey to the other side of the globe, I purchased extra batteries for my M10-R and a Nitecore ULM10-Pro (updated) dual charger (manufactured late 2021). In testing 3 different USB power supplies I have noticed different outcomes. When I use a QC3 rated USB power supply, the Nitecore will charge two batteries simultaneously, quickly - but I avoid fast charging any batteries so as to prolong battery life. When I use a 5V-2A Samsung charger, the two batteries will as documented only charge sequentially. However I noticed three of my batteries were identified as “Good” and one was identified as ”normal”. Now I have decided to use an Apple supplied 5V-1A (lightest and smallest) power supply which has now satisfactorily charged the batteries and the fourth battery is labeled “Good”. Just wondering other Nitecore user’s experiences with the ULM10 and M10 batteries?

Hi dugby, i have various results with nitecore i stopped using ‘em and sticking with my leica charger with usb converter just for the sake’s of convenience long story shorts, depending on charger, you are very right about it, and the report from battery health can be confusing, sometimes it was good, the other day came bad, usually i just take it off and put it back on, will tell different story
jon595 Posted December 11, 2023 Share #3 Posted December 11, 2023 I also have one of the Nitecore dual battery chargers for M10 batteries. Depending on what the USB charger I plug it into, I get the same results you do. The battery in slot 1 will charge fine, but the battery in slot 2 will show as 'bad' or 'poor' (I forget what word it uses for an old battery that won't hold charge). At first, this worried me until I realized that the original Leica charger will charge all 3 of my batteries just fine. If I only put 1 battery into the Nitecore charger, it works just fine as well. So I use the Nitecore, but generally for only 1 battery at a time.

It’s not convenient to use the supplied charger because it only charges one at a time. I would rather use the nitecore and leave them both there and forget about them. I wouldn’t use a 1A charger. That is too slow. Just get any 3A fast charger. Works fine. And don’t get fake chargers or cheap Chinese chargers on EBay. Just go to a store at a mall or Best Buy and get one. Anker is good. Or any iPad charger from Apple (buy direct from Apple) I’ve had mine for a couple of years. Batteries always show as “good”. Any charger I buy I get directly from the manufacturer’s website if I buy it online. Edited December 11, 2023 by muskyvibes
