Hello!

I'm trying to develop a TMax 3200 shot at ISO 800 with Adonal and I can't find it in the Massive Dev app. I used the HC-110 for this same setup, but I think the grain is too strong and I want to try the Adonal bottle I have at home. Any suggestions or experience?
Many thanks.

The difference between ISO 800 and ISO 1000 may not be important, but I would like to be as precise as possible to try to improve the results of the HC-110.
I appreciate your reply, thanks Chuck!

The Massive Dev Web page (I don't know about an app) has a developing time for Adonal/Rodinal for TMZ @ EI 1000, which is close enough:

Precision requires testing.  Here's a video on the subject...

The Massive Dev Chart is a contribution from hundreds of individuals who all have their own ways of doing things. The best that can be said for the times is they are a starting point allowing you to customise the base time to your ways of dong things. One person may be more vigorous in agitation for example or use a different light meter to measure the exposure and there are no precise ways to quantify this. And that is true of any developer and film combination time you can find on the internet. So if 7 minutes at 20c (or whatever) gives a nice rich negative first time you try the next time you try you can think about 'was there enough shadow detail?' or 'were the highlights too dense?' and add or subtract twenty seconds. The Zone System for example is the most complicated and precise development regimes you can use but each person has to do their own tests for it to work, and on a much simpler level it's the same for dunking TMax 3200 into Rodinal.
