This image may seem less than imaginative, to you, but this is a very different view than I have previously seen in images, so, quite interesting. The assortment of quite individual boats, alone, is interesting. The one most-visible person is an interesting subject, on his/her own. A woman, I think; I would like to get closer and wish her a Good Day, in my best  Deep East Texas accent, which might, or might not result in a follow-on conversation. This is not the typical tourist view of those large landmarks, in the background. I can see myself wanting to put my canoe into the water, and paddle into the image. (Getting my canoe across the Gulf of Mexico and then The Pond, to the UK, from Texas, would be no small task!) The apparent path, from the foreground, to reach the other assorted boats, beyond the trees, is inviting.

If an image makes me want to step into it, or paddle/motor into it, and visit, I would say that the photographer used plenty of imagination. 🙂

Thank you for your kind words - it is an interesting part of London, not one many tourists visit.

There were a lot of photo opportunities and I ended up with this one.  For example the trees are all planted on floating barges but I could not find a way of showing them properly.

Side rivers run into the Thames here and the glass offices reflect light around.   All reasons I was annoyed myself for coming back with a tourist shot.

People do canoe here, having said that I have only seen canoes on the north side of the river, am sure it is allowed near the south bank too.

Bit of a schlep for you by canoe however once you get here ….

This part of the Thames even gets an occasional seal and once a couple of years ago a beluga whale.

One of the side rivers very close to where I took the other photo.
