Ah ok so the metal cap is to fit over the hood, not the lens. 
 

I checked the cap for the earlier version F2.5 and it definitely was too wide for the lens. As I don’t have the hood, don’t know if the earlier version would fit once I get the hood?

14475 is a push-on metal lens cap initially made for 75/2.5 (11645) and 90/2.5 (11646) Leica M lenses. Can fit also 28/2 (11672), 35/2.4 (11671), 50/2.4 (11680), 75/2.4 (11682) & 90/2.4 (11684) Leica M lenses AFAIK.

Instead of the angry rant, you could have sent them a friendly email asking about the two items… usually they can refer you to a reseller in your country who can receive replacement parts or send the parts to you themselves. Sometimes even for free. 
I never heard of replacement parts of any company being available in third party shops… sometimes shops have them sometimes not.

Since you didn’t reply in the thread anymore I assume it got resolved for you?

Sorry, very late to this conversation. Are you using the Summarit cap on your 35 APO with the hood or without the hood?  Thx.
