Nope.  The flange to film distance on the Leica R lenses is considerably longer than the M42 standard.  You can (theoretically) adapt R lenses to M42 cameras, but not the other way around.

THAT is also why R bodies and Leicaflex bodies are so relatively inexpensive.   The R lenses have a rebirth working on mirrorless cameras... and so have gotten quite expensive, but no other lenses adapt to the R bodies.  So there's a LOT of R bodies "out there" for sale at quite reasonable prices.  This is just not the time to buy one if you don't already have a stable of R lenses.  That said, some of the early R mount Elmarits can still be had reasonably.  Just make sure you get "3 Cam" lenses for your R6.2 if you want the auto diaphragm to work.  2 Cam lenses will work with stop-down metering.

If you can find a Tamron Adaptall adapter for Leica R, they are relatively rare but can be seen occasionally on eBay etc. then you can use the reasonably inexpensive Tamron Adaptall lenses.  Might be ok until you can move on to Leica R lenses.

I found that an adaptall adapter-R alone can be quite expensive and very rare. Then it makes more sense trying to find a reasonably priced user R lens.

There still are a few bargain R lenses around. Like for example the excellent Minolta made R zoom lenses in the 70 - 200 (or similar) range, and the 135 mm F28 Elmarits. Standard R lenses and wides are getting more expensive, but it is all relative. Compared to their M counterparts of the time, R lenses are still a bargain.

How do I know if it’s a 3 cam?
