I did though because it seemed such a useful thing to do. It hasn't fallen off again and I figure that if it ever did, it's not too much bother to scrape a tiny amount of clear nail varnish off the brass ring that sits underneath before I re-glue the next replacement. TADTS - I like that 🙂

If yours is this way then you may be correct and time to consider upgrading down. I trust my M10R fully. I've brought it on trips in countries where the humidity is so high other cameras I had in the past failed. I take it anywhere anytime in any conditions and it keeps on cracking like a Toyota Corolla in the morning. Turn the key. Turns on every time. My advice is. If you're at the point you don't trust this camera then get rid of it ASAP. No point keeping it. second degree : Just be patient, your turn will come 🙂 Edited September 2, 2024 by chris7273
newtoleica Posted September 2, 2024 Share #43 Posted September 2, 2024 Seriously though, what is the point even of the frame selection lever? you ought to know what angle of view a particular lens would cover and if you don’t, shoot more.
Pyrogallol Posted September 3, 2024 Share #44 Posted September 3, 2024 My 1955 M3 does not have a frame line selector, it hadn't been invented then.

My 1955 M3 does have one, so it was just being phased into production then. Back around then it was useful to show the metering area of the Leicameter MR - which was a 90 FOV.
