The photo was taken at a recent WW2 theme day at Easton Lodge, an historic grade 2 listed garden close to where I live.  

I didn't think it polite to ask his age but must be into his nineties and he still drives an old US Army Jeep - photo below.  He has driven the Jeep from the UK to the British Normandy War Memorial in France and said the scariest part was driving on UK motorways.  We drive on the right but the Jeep is left-hand drive and does not have any doors so his wife was holding on as large lorries passed on the passenger side.

He really was a lovely old gentleman, just sitting on his own.  A real pleasure to meet and talk to.
