Been looking for a camera bag that would hold the Q3 and a couple accessories and did not look like one of my GF's many handbags...Just ordered a Billingham Hadly Small Pro in black, fits the bill nicely and has not been made in China. I have a much larger Billingham for my SL2 system, also in black so this matches-GF says that is a good thing...🤣

PS: Moderators, there are so many threads about bags it might be worth consolidating them all into one section..If there is one already, it didn't show up when I searched.

I’ve had a small Hadley since 1992 (at that time it carried an M4).
Carry it nearly every day…now with my Q.  It’s got a bit of fraying in a couple places but I’m counting on it lasting another 30 years 😂

I have been using for Q2 and Q3 the M series Leica soft leather case. Works perfectly and allows me to throw the cameras into any bag. I typically use a backpack or my briefcase (depending on if traveling for work or pleasure). I use a Peak Design Capture Clip on the backpack strap to let me carry the camera in an easy to access spot during the day without having to keep it on a strap around my neck. I think it's safer/more secure on the PD clip also.

Backpack then has plenty of room for other things, like iPad, laptop, raincoat, sweater, other equipment (drone, GoPro), tripod (which fits nicely in the water bottle side pouch) or nothing at all.

I find this solution much more versatile than a dedicated camera bag. Also draws less attention when wanting to be discreet.

Same here (for my Q2). I find it has enough space for the camera and a bottle of water OR a small rain jacket, as well as the usual camera bits and bobs in the front pockets. When I want to carry the bottle AND the rain jacket, I use a Hadley Pro large. I prefer the smaller size though so if you find a cunning way of organising the contents, let me know!

Using my meanwhile 10 year ONA Bowery in Cognac for the Q2. It easily holds the Q2, some filters, spare battery and some more stuff. It's a manly enough bag.

It can also hold the SL2 with one lens when you remove the divider, but nothing else.

For the SL2s (or a combination of SL2s +Q2) I normaly use a ThinkTank retrospective 7 or 9, forgot which, which is meanwhile also easily 10 years old . When hiking I prefer a backpack with daypack section.

I think the Billinghams are also great bags, not 100% my taste, but very well made, functional and while not cheap not ridiculous expensive (like Oberwerth):

Another thing I, as someone waiting for a Q3, need to mention: I am constantly feeling mocked when scrolling through the threats in this forum 🤡;)

The Leica Q3 is available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video and Adorama

Yeah, no kidding! 🤪 But you won't get one ;)

Have you looked at the waterfield cargo camera back in compact? It's what I'm using and it looks great

No, I had not seen those-very, very nice and American Made at a very fair price! Had I not just (yesterday) received the Billingham, I would definitely give them a try!!

Thanks for sharing!

Sorry to resurrect this thread. I've been looking for a decent camera pouch for my Q3 because I much prefer carrying it in a small rucksack on my back when not using it and then round my neck when I want to use it.

The Artisan & Artist ACAM 75 Canvas Pouch looks ideal for what I want but there seems to be nowhere in the UK that stocks it so I can't be absolutely sure that a Q3 will fit comfortably in it.

Is there anyone who can provide that reassurance, please?

Edit: I should have said that my Q3 is fitted with the Leica half case.

BTW: I'm using a TTP SpeedTop for my Q3.
Fast and quiet access.
