MakinMemories Posted July 15, 2023 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Been looking for a camera bag that would hold the Q3 and a couple accessories and did not look like one of my GF's many handbags...Just ordered a Billingham Hadly Small Pro in black, fits the bill nicely and has not been made in China. I have a much larger Billingham for my SL2 system, also in black so this matches-GF says that is a good thing...🤣 PS: Moderators, there are so many threads about bags it might be worth consolidating them all into one section..If there is one already, it didn't show up when I searched. bobtodrick Posted July 15, 2023 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2023 I’ve had a small Hadley since 1992 (at that time it carried an M4). Carry it nearly every day…now with my Q. It’s got a bit of fraying in a couple places but I’m counting on it lasting another 30 years 😂
rsolomon Posted July 15, 2023 Share #3 Posted July 15, 2023 Bellingham is a great bag, well designed and well made, to me it looks ‘so camera bag’ not sure your style but there is so much out there these days.
Le Chef Posted July 16, 2023 Share #4 Posted July 16, 2023 To be honest Imelda Marcos should be sponsoring a bag subforum here as there are SO MANY threads on this topic you would think you were in a spaghetti factory.
TDE-Photo Posted July 16, 2023 Share #5 Posted July 16, 2023 I prefer the peak desing sling bags. They don‘t scream Leica Photographer like the Bellingham bags

Phil75 Posted July 16, 2023 Share #7 Posted July 16, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) For city trips I use an office style leather messenger bag. Camera in a soft pouch inside, that's it. And still enough space for a 1/2 l bottle of water, umbrella, cap, scarf, etc.
ikc Posted July 17, 2023 Share #8 Posted July 17, 2023 I have been using for Q2 and Q3 the M series Leica soft leather case. Works perfectly and allows me to throw the cameras into any bag. I typically use a backpack or my briefcase (depending on if traveling for work or pleasure). I use a Peak Design Capture Clip on the backpack strap to let me carry the camera in an easy to access spot during the day without having to keep it on a strap around my neck. I think it's safer/more secure on the PD clip also. Backpack then has plenty of room for other things, like iPad, laptop, raincoat, sweater, other equipment (drone, GoPro), tripod (which fits nicely in the water bottle side pouch) or nothing at all. I find this solution much more versatile than a dedicated camera bag. Also draws less attention when wanting to be discreet.
liggy Posted July 17, 2023 Share #9 Posted July 17, 2023 I have the first gen Scout in grey. Love it. Perfect for Q+ daily accessories - phone, iPad, pen, water bottle etc. Sold the Ona Bowery as it looked too much like a purse. https://www.wotancraft.tw/en/product/new-scout-brown-leather-green-canvas

Same here (for my Q2). I find it has enough space for the camera and a bottle of water OR a small rain jacket, as well as the usual camera bits and bobs in the front pockets. When I want to carry the bottle AND the rain jacket, I use a Hadley Pro large. I prefer the smaller size though so if you find a cunning way of organising the contents, let me know!
MakinMemories Posted July 21, 2023 Author Share #11 Posted July 21, 2023 Received my Billingham Hadly Small Pro bag today and for me, it's the perfect bag for the Q3! Have room for the Q3, a couple accessories, an iPad slides into a zippered rear pouch and room for filters, batteries and SD cards in the two front buttoned pouches. Also nice that its made in England!
Daniel C.1975 Posted July 21, 2023 Share #12 Posted July 21, 2023 Using my meanwhile 10 year ONA Bowery in Cognac for the Q2. It easily holds the Q2, some filters, spare battery and some more stuff. It's a manly enough bag. It can also hold the SL2 with one lens when you remove the divider, but nothing else. For the SL2s (or a combination of SL2s +Q2) I normaly use a ThinkTank retrospective 7 or 9, forgot which, which is meanwhile also easily 10 years old . When hiking I prefer a backpack with daypack section. I think the Billinghams are also great bags, not 100% my taste, but very well made, functional and while not cheap not ridiculous expensive (like Oberwerth): Another thing I, as someone waiting for a Q3, need to mention: I am constantly feeling mocked when scrolling through the threats in this forum 🤡: (Advertisement) The Leica Q3 is available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video and Adorama Yeah, no kidding! 🤪 But you won't get one
intermediatic Posted July 21, 2023 Share #13 Posted July 21, 2023 Wndrd Rogue series is great. Comfortable, weatherproof, and versatile. my clothes are pretty much all techwear now as are my camera bags and it’s nice not having to worry about being caught in the rain. pcgarner Posted July 21, 2023 Share #14 Posted July 21, 2023 I use a 25 year old Domke. Classic, black, built to last 500 years and lightweight. Not everything new is better.

Stephen_C Posted July 31, 2023 Share #18 Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) Sorry to resurrect this thread. I've been looking for a decent camera pouch for my Q3 because I much prefer carrying it in a small rucksack on my back when not using it and then round my neck when I want to use it. The Artisan & Artist ACAM 75 Canvas Pouch looks ideal for what I want but there seems to be nowhere in the UK that stocks it so I can't be absolutely sure that a Q3 will fit comfortably in it. Is there anyone who can provide that reassurance, please? Edit: I should have said that my Q3 is fitted with the Leica half case.
