farnz Posted November 13, 2007 Share #6 Posted November 13, 2007 Haere mai, Brad, Superbly shallow dof in the picture of the saucer plant but the cockatiel(?) fairly launches itself out of my monitor - it's almost 3D! Pete.
bradreiman Posted November 13, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted November 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) thanks Fernando, John, Klaus, Ivan and Pete. The Royal Botanic Gardens and the Sydney Domain are one of the nicest green spaces in any urban area I have ever seen. When ever I come to Sydney I set aside a day to hang out in there and I highly recomend it to anyone visiting Sydney. Fantastic flora and fauna including numerous types of parrots, cockatos (this is a sulphur crested cockatoo Pete), Ibis, ducks and I especially love the flying foxes-huge bats by the hundred roosting in the trees. Also phenomenal views of Sydney Harbor where yesterday I saw a humpback whale and her calf, a rarity in the harbor. Thanks for looking..Brad
