Thank you! I'll be keeping an eye on the Fotos app. That's where that last M11 firmware update hit first, at least in my region.

Any release notes?

Nothing that i know of. They didn't tell me either, just handed me over my new M11 (second one..) and told me they've updated the firmware to the latest version... think it's a bit unofficial yet. So keep looking out for news from Leica.

The faulty hardware theory is coming soon to an end hopefully.

We can but hope!

Parts of the M11 forum have been FROZEN with freezes for so long it may require therapy to get back to normal 😀

You do get the feeling that things have been (quietly) quieting down amongst the various (and sometimes lengthy) freezing threads. Sometimes days go by without a fresh post, and often, new posts that do appear seem to be from folks who have been closely following the topic for a while (out of legitimate and understandable interest) rather than scores and scores of fresh posts yelling about their cameras freezing on them.

I'll be interested to see release notes for 1.6.2...

Wellknown- could you confirm if exposure is set correctly with autoiso? If you set autoiso shutter speed limit to 1/500 is it really 1/500 or is camera still sets it to 1/640 during shooting? Give me hope for at lest one bug fixed hah.

I prefer over-riding shutter speeds to over-exposure personally. May i ask at what iso and shutter speed settings you've been getting this effect? Just curious.

Every shutter speed set in autoiso "shutter speed limit" is not set correctly. 500 becomes 640, 250 becomes 320, 125 becomes 160. This has nothing to do with over exposing anything, just a bug. Ehh I turn on camera to make sure I'm writing the correct numbers and this damn thing froze on me, had to take out the battery again. Well I had a good run, no freezing for a month...

Interesting indeed. I did not notice that. Thank you for sharing.

Same here. On my otherwise behaving M11, the Auto ISO shutter speed limit setting is the same. 125 becomes 160, 250 becomes 320 etc.

However, the Auto ISO with 1/(X)s is also not right on mine. With a 28mm lens, the shutter speed with 1/(2f) setting reverts to 1/80s, and 1/(4)s becomes 1/160s.

I have no experience with 1/(4)s but at 1/(2f), shutter speeds are slightly overridden when there is enough light for that. Perfect for me on a sans-IBIS high res camera. YMMV.

My M11 will choose 1/80sec with 1/(2f) setting while at ISO 10000. It should choose 1/60sec. There was definitely not enough light. It does occasionally change over to 1/60sec but often very short and then back to 1/80sec.

What maximum iso setting did you choose if i may ask?

ISO 25K. But it doesn't matter. Whether Auto ISO chooses ISO 200, 25 000 or everything in between. My shutter speed will almost always be faster than the desired 1/(2f) setting, 1/(1f) setting, 1/(4f) setting or any of the Shutter Speed limit options.

Leica knows about it, since I wrote to them about it at the beginning of last year already, but I'm surprised they still haven't fixed it all this time later.

What does your camera do with 1/(2f) setting, or even choosing a Shutter Speed limit option. Is yours accurate?

Well, you know, people needing 1/(2f), let alone 1/(4f), are not supposed to have hands as steady as a tripod and Leica, whose clients are not all of the first youth, knows it very well. I belong to this category, i must say, even if i'm proud of my steady hands, so i don't mind if the camera chooses a shutter speed slightly higher than that i have chosen as a maximum. Not only i don't mind to that at all but i think i would not update the firmware if Leica decided to follow your idea, sorry to tell it that bluntly there is nothing personal in my viewpoint

hmzimelka - interesting, I test 35mm lens and my speeds are for 1/2f = 1/80 and 1/4f = 160. So this seams correct for 35mm lens. But I also test it on 28mm and I see the same numbers. Third lens was 50mm 1/2f = jumps from 100 to 125. 1/4f jumps from 1/200 to 1/250. So this results are pretty inconsistent.
