I find these what do we want in the Q4 0r M12 threads depressing frankly. You are not out of step at all. Lots of people are happily using older cameras. However, time does not stop. Time inevitably brings change, maybe something better or worse. This type of thread attracts people who have thoughts about what changes should or shouldn't happen. Advertisement Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Hi zlatkob, Take a look here Leica Q4 - wish list. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
F-train Posted September 5 Share #222 Posted September 5 I agree. Leica’s are relatively immune to digital rot. I think it is also quite curious that we write a wish list of 12 pages for the next model of our €6500 camera’s… I will not buy it. I am very happy with my Q2M and Q343. And of course my M3.
Photoman61 Posted November 20 Share #223 Posted November 20 What the Q4 needs is a sensor that is properly paired with a processor which can eliminate rolling shutter issues, giving us back a usable electronic shutter like we enjoy in the Q2 series up to 1/40000th of a second. The Q3 had several upgrades but we lost the ES !!!!! The M12 needs this as well !!!

The Sony 60 Mpixel sensor has hamstrung a whole generation of Leica cameras; time for something that speeds up sensor readout, and moves away from chasing a medium format look. robb Posted November 20 Share #225 Posted November 20 I’d vote faster sensor readout and a revised apo 28 lens. 2

Agreed and honestly, this is the only thing I can think of (including ‚zero‘-blackout time) when it comes to potential improvements. Otherwise, the Q3 is as good a camera of its kind as I can think of. But it wouldn’t be a reason to pay the upgrade fee for me, at least not immediately
keithlaban.co.uk Posted Friday at 03:54 PM Share #227 Posted Friday at 03:54 PM Advertisement (gone after registration) A Q4 with a wide-angle Vario could see me reaching for my wallet.
businessasusual Posted Monday at 08:52 AM Share #228 Posted Monday at 08:52 AM I'd love to see a f2.8 zoom in a Q camera. Vlux's are no more and they are so underrated. Not the zoom capacity of a Vlux but 28-70 would be fab. (and then a mono version)

Now put that on the front of a Q body, and you have what you're asking for.

Struggling with the SL 50 - so don’t want to add further weight to my camera bag. My walk arounds are starting to feel like an army reconnaissance experience. 🤣
