Was just able to order one from leicacamerausa.com!

We'll see if it really happens!

I got an email from Leica that they had a bug on the site, and I shouldn't have been able to order!  But, they're letting me keep the order, and will send me the first camera out of the next batch which they are expecting to receive during the week of June 26.  So that'll be the window to keep refreshing leicacamerausa.com waiting for stock!

You've obviously been a very good person in a former life! Well done!

I got on a waitlist about 2 weeks before the official announcement and finally got an update from my dealer in Canada (one of the bigger Canadian Leica resellers) saying they have a shipment from Leica on the way and I’ll get my Q3 once they receive it and turn it around.

Just received an email from Josh at Leica Miami that my Q3 PreOrder is in. Very excited! Josh has executed a great process here with transparency. Very well done.

oh, may I ask when you pre ordered?

So I decided to suck it up and call B&H to try to get some info. I knew it would a waste of time, but whatever.
This what what they said: “Leica said they will be giving us an update in 14 days when the next shipment will be coming in, at that point we will have more info.” So I asked them does this mean you aren’t getting a shipment from them in the next two weeks? And they said “ Yes, that is correct.”
So basically it will be July before they get any cameras in stock to fill in the preorders from 5/25, as people who ordered the morning of 5/25 are still waiting.
Plan your photography needs accordingly.

Uggh more waiting.. I received mine on the 26th from B&H and had to return for an exchange as it had a dust issue. Still waiting for my replacement. At least they told me I'm on the top of the list.

Interesting. I had to return my original Q2 for the same reason. Dust trapped inside the lens. Some quality control… lol

B&H let me know this morning that they estimate they will receive a small number of Q3s by 6/27.

They said that the 6/27 shipment will not have enough units to get to where my order is in the queue (I placed my order on 5/25 at 11:10am ET).

I asked if the following shipment (after the one on 6/27) receives the same number of units, would that then be enough to reach my spot in the queue. The answer was, "It would not unfortunately, they'd have to send a slightly larger wave. It's too soon to conclude any pattern, but this upcoming shipment is larger than the first shipment we received, so hopefully they continue with that progressing production rate."
