Thanks a lot! I do not know it exactly. I shoot most photos with 28 and in the postproduction I crop it under consideration of my idea of composition. In this case I wanted to have the model on the right side with the view to the short side of the photo. To make it more harmonic, I wanted to have the bedside lamp on the left side.

I'm glad you made that point about composition and cropping. There are many people who feel the scene you see when looking through the viewfinder is sacred and should never be cropped. I agree with you that it's only a starting point and from there you make the image fit your vision. I've had a couple of heated debates about that with people on this forum. 

I think your crop works very well in this image.

I totally agree Brent! Why should I limit myself with a „rule“ which I do not understand? Sometimes you see in postproduction that there are more possibilities to get a better image by means of cropping. I am sure, also the „big boys“ in photography cropped some of their photos.

Thanks for your feedback. I never used a Q/Q2, but I understood it was possible to select 28, 35 or 50mm frames. That's why I was asking. If I understand well, you  don't use a pre determined crop mode, but crop in postproduction from the full image taken at 28mm.

It really depends on the situation. For portraits I used at the beginning the frame lines for 50mm but the more I use the Q2 the less I use the different frame lines.

I too am amazed at some who consider an uncropped image to be a sacrament.  Lovely photo, with a suggestiveness of comfort with the photographer.

Thanks a lot Stuart, it was really a very relaxed shooting! And in my opinion you are totally right concerning cropping
