Wondering how other M users view & focus.

I’ve been using my M10-R/50APO with both eyes open, initially a bit of a challenge, as I had determined I am left-eye dominant.

With right-eye in OVF and left-eye viewing freely, I can see in stereo from about 3m onwards.

Lens focussing was initially a bit difficult but I got used to telling the brain to observe RF focus patch in right eye.

Curious to hear other experiences with this technique?

Dugby,  Your technique works for you as does for me as well.  There are a number of You Tube videos that describe the same or similar techniques to help photographers become more right eye dominant.  I am certain others will chim in with their techniques as well.  r/ Mark

I tried this technique 10 years ago with my M240 but was not successful with the combination of my eyes and the M240’s OVF.

However with a new M10-R , seems that the upgraded OVF suit my current eyes for this technique to work for me now.

I've always shot with both eyes open - as the army taught me many years ago.  They weren't teaching photography but though the tools and intent was different, the technique works equally well for either discipline!  :)
