I have recently noticed that my photos are way too yellow/orange out of the camera when I use my standard setup of R lenses (typically 35 or 50mm) on a Metabone adapter on my Sony R7a2 body.  No such "coloring" when I use the "native" Sony 28-70 lens on the Sony Body.  The Sony image is a bit too blue, though,

I think that I may have found the issue, though, and it's with the White Balance, where I use the AWB in both cases.  When I manually adjust the WB, it looks much better, but I would have preferred that the automatic WB was doing its job, at least providing me with the same results for the same setup.

Is it an issue with the AWB when an adapter is added to the setup with a couple of extra cm lengths? or?

I'm sure it is my lack of insight, so I would appreciate it if somebody could enlighten me on this issue, as I use R lenses exclusively on this camera.

Thanks

Preben

That fixed it!  I had no idea one could "offset/correct" the AWB!

But do you understand why the results between the two lenses render different results using the same AWB?  I would like to understand it, but I can live without  🙂

Could it be the extra 2cm light path through the adapter that has something to do with it?

I learned a few extra things about my camera's WB custom settings in the process and also the use of the grey card, so I think I can fix it on the fly now.

And, Jaap, that's what I have been doing all this time, I think.  I import to C1 and have it correct what it thinks is necessary, and then I play around with the results.  But I would like better images to begin with, but, I am but an amateur.

Many thanks!

this is because of different coating from the Lenses.Even Leica R lenses don"t have the same coatings,so you have different colour rendering between R lenses on your A7
