Advertisement (gone after registration)

I can't figure it out. One of the Larks (female)? , A juvenile Yellow Wagtail?  I have no idea.

Although it is not mentioned in Newman's Birds of Southern Africa, the Internet certainly confirms this.  Is this an omission of Newman's or is it extending its range? My copy is twenty years old. Interesting.

I agree with @evikne  it is a Collared Palm Thrush. Where did you photograph the bird Jaap?

In case anyone is wondering how I identified the bird, I just uploaded the photo to Google Images. I don't really know anything about birds. 😄

Thanks! My Newman is certainly out of date... :( It doesn't even mention the bird. 

My copy of the Newman's is the 7th Edition (undated but must be before 2000, as I used it then) and it shows the Collared Palm Thrush (Cichladusa arquata) on p. 330.
