I'm glad you posted this image because when I saw it in your book I immediately wondered why the boys eyes are filled with tears. It's a beautiful photograph but I wonder if you might explain this.

Thank you! The boy wasn't crying. He didn't have tears in his eyes either. It was some weird effect of the light on his eyes. In fact, I asked him repeatedly if he was OK. He said he was fine just a bit bemused by the stranger in his neighbourhood with a camera.
