Macarena dancing in the Cabildo

My personal work is a stroll through dance since 9 years ago. This is my test shoot with a SL2. Seville, first days of the spring of the year 2023. I am beggining to shoot all my next images with leica. I shoot dance in the streets, but I am reluctant to call this "street photography" because all images are staged. One of my ideas is "The world is my stage". My work is about dance and movement, not about poses, so my crywar is "Don't strike a pose, just dance!".

She is Macarena, dancing flamenco estilizado and Escuela Bolera, the spanish classical dance. We are in Seville, in the Paza del Cabildo. She wears a white dress for estilizada dancing, the academic and stage version of flamenco.

A spectacular image. Body position, lighting and location are all superb. This is definitely a photograph I would print, frame and hang on my wall.

That website link is wrong. The correct one is www.antidanza.com
