ay11 Posted April 2, 2023 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been trying out the digital zoom feature on my G2M. Leica says that when you use a digital zoom the file is saved with the full 28mm field of view but when I open the file in Photoshop (Adobe Raw) I can only see the cropped version. I cant figure out how to see the entire frame. Does anyone know hoe to see the whole file?

Anakronox Posted April 3, 2023 Share #2 Posted April 3, 2023 Interesting. I can say that Lightroom and Capture One allow you to un-crop the raws. I don’t open directly in Camera Raw or Photoshop though.
T25UFO Posted April 3, 2023 Share #3 Posted April 3, 2023 When you open the image in Camera Raw you should see a menu on the right hand side. At the top you'll see the histogram and below that you should see CROP. In the Preset drop down menu you can choose Full or As Shot. Full will give you the 28mm frame, Crop will give you whatever crop setting you used.
Daniel C.1975 Posted April 3, 2023 Share #4 Posted April 3, 2023 (edited) To add to the former replies: 1. To still have the complete 28mm frames saved, you need to set the camera in DNG or DNG+JPG 2. If you only save a JPG, the camera will only save the cropped picture 3. Just press R in camera raw or Lightroom to enter the crop-tool 4. The thumbnail in LR will show a little rectangle with dashes if the picture has been cropped - the same symbol is used in Camera Raw for Button to enter into the crop mode Edited April 3, 2023 by Daniel C.1975
