En Route.

Leica MD type 240. Zeiss Biogon 35mm F2.8 taken at F8. For a change I used the (very rarely used by me ) in camera black and white film simulation with added in camera red filter.

As ever, higher res available with a mouse click.

I've often thought about getting the Biogon 2.8 to go with my M-D. Do you ever get that Magenta stripes appearing on the side of the imnage as happens sometimes with Zeiss wide angles?

I like the photo although I personally see the main story as the first tree arching over the second tree and would tend to crop out the other (manmade) details like the stile and white lorry / shed, and shadow lift the hedge a bit:

Hi Datsch,  thanks for the comments - which on the whole I agree with! I travel along that path pretty much daily "en route" to my humble abode and will be re-shooting/re working that area as a matter of course over the next few months. I deliberately did not process to heavily as this was a kinda experiment to see what the M-D did with the "baked in" B+W/film sims- which on the whole are kinda Ok - but im not mad about them. B+w is the best I find......

In terms of the Zeiss Biogon I didn't get magenta edges but I did get some edge darkness until I coded the lens as a 28/F2 11809 and now all is good. I am actually considering selling it as I am currently stalking a couple of 35mm Summicron Asphs out there - not because I don't like it (I do) but I really want to try some Leica glass (and all my other lenses except this one are Leica). I see you are in Surrey - I am too, in the Newdigate area.

Thanks for this insight. Nice to meet a fellow 'Path Photographer'.
