Advertisement Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hi Guest stnami, Take a look here lost image. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jmr Posted August 21, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 21, 2006 Imants, the vignetting and unsaturated rose colour give this shot an air of mystery - not unlike your good self
rob_x2004 Posted August 22, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 22, 2006 Lost in travel, an image I like. Was it a fur coat that you followed? You separated the collar from the background vignetting? I like the image production. I like that it is once removed from stark clarity, and that the composition is challenging. A better image than it first appears, there is always something more. Complex. Light and composition.
Guest stnami Posted August 22, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 22, 2006 Thanks guys, what I have been doing is working in CS2 then using a velvia action/stark contrast, sandwiching with the orignal in smart objects then into lightroom with a couple of presets based on desaturated yellow/blue velvia simulations eg
earleygallery Posted August 22, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 22, 2006 I'd get the parralax compensation on your M checked pronto, if you're chopping heads off like that! Interesting technique. What does lightroom do over photoshop?
Guest stnami Posted August 22, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 22, 2006 I use lightroom as my raw convertor and it is usefull for scanned images as well, plus I can tweek tones in lightzone and changes are recognised in lightroom etc. With all the presets in lightroom it is easy for the batch those images that need very little work. Anyway between Lightroom, CS2, LightZone, Raw Convertor and Exposure I have fun and all that I use the wet darkroom for is physical negative abuse with sandpaper etc
