andybarton Posted November 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks everyone for their patience... OK, there was to be a new form of voting for this year. I have to sincerely thank Andreas for his hard work in putting this together. Unfortunately, we have had a couple of issues with the system, and I know that you are keen to get voting! (My PM in-box is overflowing...) And I have to thank everyone who attended and contributed for another great Challenge. As before, please vote for your top three images. (Following a PM request, it is generally understood that you will not vote for your own Voting for your partner or spouse, if they also entered, is acceptable though ) For your FIRST choice, 3 points will be awarded, for the SECOND choice, 2 points, and for your THIRD choice, 1 point. The shot with the most points at the close of the voting will be declared the winner. They will receive the prize fund of €250, the jacket and cap from Leica UK, and this round of applause... Good luck to everyone who contributed! Voting will close at 22:00 (GMT) on 19th November 2007 Please, enjoy scrutinising the shots at the link immediately below, and record your votes in this thread. erl Posted November 6, 2007 Share #7 Posted November 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) An interesting spread, as would be expected. Wish I'd been able to be there with you all. My vote: 1st - 3 pts. - #18 Pankow 2nd - 2 pts - #2 Statue 3rd - 1 pt - #1 Woman A comment on the votes so far: Some voters ar using numbers and not clarifying if the number '1' is 1st place OR 1 point. Might be worth checking.

As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Means that the shots then get awarded 3, 2 and 1 point in that order. This is the difficulty we were trying to get over with a poll/survey system. PLEASE MAKE IT VERY CLEAR (As Erl has done). andybarton Posted November 6, 2007 Author Share #18 Posted November 6, 2007 1Thought/ hoped more participants would have shown up with their results. Or was it one entry each ? Than it should work out ... Part of the challenge, the One Challenge, is that you choose your one best shot. 22 out of 25 is a pretty good turn out, if past experience is anything to go by. The Challenge gets bigger every year.
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted November 6, 2007 Share #19 Posted November 6, 2007 Yes, of course, that´s what it was about, I should have known ... Thx for your explanation. Best
erl Posted November 6, 2007 Share #20 Posted November 6, 2007 So far, an interesting spread of scoring results. Quite diverse. I perceive a possible winner, without actually counting, just an impression mind you! Say no more. Don't want to bias the result.
