I doubt the Court can take away a persons right to earn a living by the means he/she knows best. So once a plumber always a plumber, etc. But it's absolutely certain very, very few people will know about Walnes recent record and may even still hold him in high esteem from years ago. When I said I'd think about it he immediately came back with an offer to drop by £200 if I paid by bank transfer. If I didn't know better this sounds very dodgy. I order a silver 50 Lux ASPH from him which was in "mint" condition which duly arrived but amongst other things had oil all over the blades.. Having come from an SLR background where this was an obvious No No I reverted to him where he then claimed he "hadn't noticed" any issue with the lens... In the end as the price was so good (apologies to any sellers here...) I struck a deal with him to halve the cost of a CLA to remove the oil against the original purchase price and ended up with a very well priced 50 ASPH Lux, I never returned to his website on the basis that if he "didn't notice" oil all over the blades of an M lens he was just punting whatever stock he had and now I hope it was far enough in the past that my purchase didn't fall in to the "scam era" of his operation...
