OK, a question for all the techie guru's out there....
I have an M10 and love the way I can quickly upload photos right to my phone using the Leica FOTOS app.
Unfortunately my MM246 does not have wi-fi and I'd love to be able to get the photos right to my iPhone.
I know that there are wi-fi cards and was wondering if I bought one could I get the photos from my MM246 directly to the Leica FOTOS app?

I have two Toshiba FlashAir (W-03 and W-04) WIFI SD cards for my M240.

I just attempted to get Fotos v3.3.4 on my iPhone to connect to the above two cards in my switched-on M240 with a review image being displayed, unsuccessfully (as I was expecting), but no harm in testing your request.

Two problems.

  1. My EyeFi card stopped working because all online service from Sandisk has stopped.
  2. I think even in the day, all M models with full metal bottem plate blocked the wireless signal anyway. My EyeFi did not work on the M9 but it worked fine on my Gx8.

My two Flashair SD cards in my M240 continue to connect correctly to my Flashair app on my iPhone.

They have and continue to work flawlessly since I purchased them about 6+ years ago.

I’ve never had a weak nor flawed WIFI connection through my M240, which is encased in an Arte di mano half case

i just got this Ez Share wifi SD adapter from eBay for (AUD70)

not the fastest thing around but works well on my digicams and m246. i just use it to grab a few pics when im on the go. i wouldnt use it for bulk downloads

i'm going to buy a 2nd card to keep the juggling to a minimum

it's relatively easy to use. once set up, just sign into the wifi network and the images will pop up. you'll need to select which image to download.

I think by far the best solution is to get an SD reader for your iPhone. It's loads quicker for a minor inconvenience of taking the SD card out and popping it in the reader. I use the Wi-Fi application a lot, but not for more than one or two files at a time because it's really slow. I use a USB-C dongle on my iPad which is very fast for as many files as I need. There are also lighting to SD converters available which will work on an iPhone. It'll save you a lot of frustration getting the radio to work properly and provide a solution that just works every time. 'Just works' is very useful to me. :-)

I got one of these and had problems with it. Are you using an app to download pics, or just logging in via browser?

Thanks

the app is rubbish. i just the browser, which works reasonably well. this is the key selling point for me as it doesn't depend on the largesse of the manufacturer

I will try it wihtout the app. The app kept disconnecting.... thought I'd gotten a dud!
