evikne Posted February 23, 2023 Share #2 Posted February 23, 2023 I wonder how much a 35 or 50mm Q could sell.

wda Posted February 23, 2023 Share #4 Posted February 23, 2023 But Leica is very unlikely to produce such a camera, which would cause so much damage to its M reputation.
ymc226 Posted February 25, 2023 Share #5 Posted February 25, 2023 I thought I was more of a wide angle user but now I find myself only using my 50mm lenses. I also take along a 35 or 28 or 85 (only 50 + 1 other at a time) in the bag but the only other one I reach for and infrequently so, is the 85. Recently, I had all my Nikon F and F2, CLA'd (all 12) so am shooting film and mechanical solely at the moment. I agree a 50mm Q model would eat away at M sales. It would be my sole camera and especially for travels.
newtoleica Posted February 26, 2023 Share #6 Posted February 26, 2023 You could just have a Leica Q2 but (having owned one) it’s a very different experience to an M. It doesn’t take film for a start…. I prefer a Sony RX1Rii as a camera to take when you don’t want to take a camera. It’s not nearly as good as a Q to handle, but it’s a lot smaller. The Zeiss 35 f2 is a lovely lens. A bit different rendering but very nice all the same. Picked mine up used in Shinjuku for £1400.
