Popular Post carl_valiquet Posted February 18, 2023 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 18, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Early morning at the traditional market of Tawangmangu, Java. These sellers have set up their produce in the early hours of the morning. Patiently waiting for the buyers to arrive. When I saw these « women in waiting », lit by the low morning sun light entering the narrow passageway of the market, I thought of a movie scene. As though a director had placed the women, the vegetables, and the hanging bags, ready to roll camera. M10 monochrome 50mm Summilux. Welcome, dear visitor! Gelatino Posted February 18, 2023 Share #2 Posted February 18, 2023 I assume colors are stunning, but in your hands the Monochrome performs so much that it takes us in a world where we don't need them anymore. In addition, each one of these ladies, deserves a portrait session.

I suspect that in colour all the plastic bags and anoraks hanging on the wall would probably substract from the vintage/traditional look of the photograph

stuny Posted February 18, 2023 Share #9 Posted February 18, 2023 I'm so glad you're an early riser and were able to be there to create this masterpiece. I showed it to Barbara, and she said," Wow! That's fantastic!"

I accompany Andan to have a soto ayam ( chicken soup), then while she shops, I « shop » for photographs.

I was sitting on a crate of legumes just on the other side of the small road that is behind the market. With time, I «almost» become invisible and I just enjoy the scenes. Thank you wda. But you should see the colors of those carrots. And the patina on the wall behind them. I should try it in color one day, as an experiment. Regards. Lux50 Posted February 19, 2023 Share #19 Posted February 19, 2023 I enjoy this photograph. Although a color version would look nice, the b/w really does it for me.👍👍
