Stein K S Posted February 8, 2023 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi No really big deal, but still annoying; when scrolling through pictures the left navigation buttom click pictures backward two & two at the time, the right button is ok (clicks nicely forward one at the time) This was earlier a clear tendency and is now even more pronounced after Leica for free replaced this navigation panel when the camera was serviced for bad sensor. Greatful to Leica... and as said; no really big deal. But still annoying thinking it should not be like this. Am I the only one? Can Leica do anything about this or is it a ¨design flaw¨ that we just have to live with? Regards, Stein

jimmielx Posted February 8, 2023 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2023 My navigation buttons work as expected. Don’t believe I have ever experienced this.
Topsy Posted February 9, 2023 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2023 I rarely review my shots on my 3 M9s but I just shot 6 frames with each of them to test this and all 3 go one frame per click both directions.
Stein K S Posted February 10, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted February 10, 2023 Hi to both and thanks Good to hear! But also strange as my back-and-forth buttons on my (only) M9 has always been ¨nervous¨ concerning this (coming ang going) and now rather consistent on the backward button… regards,
JohnW. Posted February 10, 2023 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2023 I had a similar problem about 5 years ago with my M8 where two of the buttons were erratic, sometimes working sometimes not. The camera was sent to the local Leica service centre where they replaced the Back Dial/Button Pad Board. It then worked fine until I sold it last year. My current M9 buttons are working OK.
Sensorix Posted February 13, 2023 Share #6 Posted February 13, 2023 (edited) There is no debounce. Electrical contacts in mechanical pushbutton switches often make and break contact several times when the button is first pushed. A debouncing circuit removes the resulting ripple signal, and provides a clean transition at its output. M6bigletter Posted February 22, 2023 Share #7 Posted February 22, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I found it the buttons can be a challenge to use so i don’t bother reviewing the pictures. Saves me some battery too when out in field. The screen is pretty low res so it’s better to do it at home and also it gives me a more surprise and joy when I see the pictures on my computer.
