I still don't know what is this small thing on the left side of EVF.
Not the big wheel ...
Will know more in few hours ...

I'm curious to see how often I'll use the heel of my hand to trigger any buttons to the right of the screen while taking photos. At least with heavy lenses, I could imagine that this could be a problem.

Good point.  Happens a lot on other cameras I own with accidental push of buttons and setting changes with the heel of my hand.  But in all fairness those cameras also have about 7 buttons where the Leica has 3...

Yes it does, looking at the latest photo on Leica Rumors you can see shiny metal between the black 'cover' and viewfinder.

If this is a plastic cover of some kind of interface then it can get lost very easy.
If this is screw in metal cover then that will be much better.
Until it is stuck like some filter on the lens do ... 😁

At least this photo confirms that the power button light can be turned off :)

I didn't think of it as possibly being a tally light. That definitely makes sense to me.

I could just wait a couple of hours, but ... What do the rumors say that little wheel on the side of the viewfinder is? It's not diopter, as that seems to still be like on the SL2. Odd position for anything else. I'm curious.

Perhaps XLR port?

The design changes are not looking to be benefits to me at least, but I am sure it will be fine. I am a bit concerned about the power button though. I think the positive click of the switch in the S cameras and SL and SL2 was a great design. Tactile and easy to find by feel, while never accidentally going on or off (in my experience). In contrast this one seems like it has less tactile sensation (by being a flat button and not a more prominent and distinct switch), and from the look at least seems like it would be easier to accidentally turn on or off. I imagine that if it does not have a positive clicking force it will mean that you have to hold it down for a moment or two to get it to work, which is cumbersome compared to the switch, especially with gloves. Also not excited at all about a illuminated switch right next to the viewfinder. I just really hope they have tested the hell out of it. It seems like a little thing, but this is the second most important button on the camera after the shutter.

Now when I have some good photos and video of SL3 whole time I compare my SL2-S with SL3 on the photos.
I almost hit my self in the head with my SL2-S ... Need to stop this immediately other wise I can end in ER ... 😄
