M10-R or M11 for long exposure

I've shot some longer exposures, but only in the 1 - 2 minute times, not the hours I've seen others. In the past I've used my Nikon DSLRs and also my Sony RX1R2. Since I got the Leica M11, I hadn't shot any tripod/le until just last week. The M11 did just fine. It mounted to the tripod, it has bulb mode, I have a screw in shutter release cable that I used with my Sony so that worked too, and I exposed correctly. All good.

Other than what people were saying about LENR, I really can't imagine why the M11 vs M10 would be such a big deal for LE.
