wolan Posted January 23, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I have an M10-R with an hand grip. The camera with the hand grip cannot mounted on the tripod, so I have to screw into the hand grip an additional camera plate. The one I have from Arca-Swiss is too big and ends up covering the quick mounting screw. This one, however seems to fit https://www.arca-shop.de/kameraplatten/monoball-fix/47/monoballfix-compact-kameraplatte?c=18 What do you think? Cheers. darylgo Posted January 23, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2023 I don’t have the grip, however understand the issue you’re attempting to find a work around. The monoball fix, while being Arca Swiss is not the same as the typical Arca Swiss used by all other plate and clamp manufacturers. It might not fit or fit well into your clamp. Look at the Novoflex QPL1 or the Markins PG-30, these are my smallest plates.

Thanks, I have Arca-Swiss Monoball tripod heads with FlipLock quick-release system on both my two tripods, that is why I looked at that model. Cheers.
Ouroboros Posted January 23, 2023 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) I've been using one of my numerous Arca-Swiss compatible plates, bought cheap off Ebay and no doubt of Chinese origin. It works fine but it's tedious having to remove it to change the battery or SD card. I prefer using a grip on my M bodies but I don't like the Leica grip for the M10-R. Last week I ordered a Kamerakraft LM10 grip which is Arca-Swiss compatible and gives access to the battery and SD card without having to remove the grip from the body. For photographers like myself who often use a tripod, the Kamerkraft LM10 seems a more convenient option than the Leica grip. Coincidentally, so did I!

I would recommend this base plate (2nd version) also like to order, but it is not available.

They sell out almost immediately, I've been waiting to order from this latest batch for several months and I would not be surprised if it sold out within a day or two of availability notifications going out. Vincent Biller, the inventor/manufacturer/owner of Kamerakraft, has a waiting list. Add your email address via the Kamerakraft website to be notified when a new batch is available, also keep an eye on his IG. You need to be quick to order as soon as a batch is available because he fulfils orders on a first come, first served order basis. 1

Uugh we have the same setup, my tracking said it was delivered this morning but im still at work.. and just love to see how it fits nicely, though a black paint would have been more desirable how’s the batter access mechanism? Is it solid? Since v2 boasts a switch not just magnetic Edited February 1, 2023 by jakontil

My M lenses are a mix of black, silver and green anyway!
