Paul Heiney Posted January 17, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 17, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mt D lux 7 has stopped retaining the card when I press it in - it just bounces up again. Doesn't seem to matter much as closing the 'door' holds it in place. Anyone else had this problem?
Advertisement Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Hi Paul Heiney, Take a look here retaining card. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted January 17, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 17, 2023 This may not work, but it's worth a try. Try a different SD card.
jaapv Posted January 17, 2023 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2023 Check the slot if there are any bits of plastic etc. inside.
dpitt Posted January 18, 2023 Share #4 Posted January 18, 2023 Years ago, I had a similar issue with the battery (lock for the battery broken) from my X2. An email with a photo to Leica Service (then in Solms) resulted in them sending me a small plastic part, free of charge. I replaced it myself. My X2 was a year or more outside of warranty so it was a nice case of goodwill. Maybe you can try and contact Leica Service?
Paul Heiney Posted January 18, 2023 Author Share #5 Posted January 18, 2023 thanks for the above. I tried a different card but no change. It's under guarantee and a visit to a Leica store is always an (expensive) pleasure, so that's what I'll do.
