Years ago, I had a similar issue with the battery (lock for the battery broken) from my X2. An email with a photo to Leica Service (then in Solms) resulted in them sending me a small plastic part, free of charge.  I replaced it myself. My X2 was a year or more outside of warranty so it was a nice case of goodwill.

Maybe you can try and contact Leica Service?
