May I ask what else did you use here?  The plane of focus doesn't make sense, or did you use software to create the out-of-focus areas?

The only thing I did was a small amount of rotating. Why do you mean I create oof areas? (And why should I?)

I'm just curious how, in this picture for example, the focus seems to fall off as expected, then at the far end the Hella signs are pretty well focused.  It's a nice look, kind of like a view camera with a front standard swing or a lens baby.  I'm just wondering how you were able to achieve this with the Noctilux, or if it was some post-processing.  Doesn't matter, just curious.  Nice picture.

The Noctilux 1.0 is known for the fact that in a ring just outside the centre it has less resolution, to gain resolution to edges again. This is what you see exactly in this image if you follow the ‘hella’ letters
