Some of you asked me about vignetting with the combi X2D and 0.95/50 Noctilux. This photo is totally uncropped and as you can see there is a very notable vignetting. But I like this effect in most cases a lot, it helps to „pop up“ (I hope this is the right word) the person in the middle of the vignetting.

I agree, with  your kind of photography the vignette is a helpful feature to highlight the central content.

PS: I sold my 0,95 some time ago; your results with the X2D let me feel a tiny bit of  sellers regret...

I agree with you, Marc. The vignetting is part of the appeal of this lens, and the others in the Noctilux line. My 50/ f1.0 also vignettes, although not quite as much as the 0.95.

PS: I sold an M6 and M6TTL  long before prices went up. Now I feel sellers regret too...

Thank you very much. And yes, I think everybody of us knows this feeling after selling a Leica body or lens. Same for me with a Hasselblad xpan
