anhtimmy Posted December 14, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought a few leica m11 and visoflex 2, and am having trouble getting an image on the visoflex 2. I've attempted the following: update the camera to firmware 1.6 ensure tight connection between visoflex and leica tried all options of the evf <-> lcd screen. Any other suggestions? I reached out to the store I bought it at for an exchange, but if I can solve it prior that would be ideal.
Advertisement Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Hi anhtimmy, Take a look here Visoflex 2 not turning on with Leica M11. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wlaidlaw Posted December 14, 2022 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2022 The camera shoe socket is prone to getting dust or dirt in it. Clean it with switch cleaning fluid like Servisol or similar and also clean the contacts on the Visoflex 2. I have had no problems with my Viso 2 but did have a connection problem with the previous Viso 020, which uses the same connection system, after a waiter splashed some Coca-Cola over my M10-R, when I did not have a Viso mounted on it nor a protective cover on the shoe. It would not detect putting eye to cup. Cleaning both sets of contacts and the eye sensor underneath the viewing window sorted the problem.
