My workhorse M6 Classic. M3-style lever, black dot and "beauty mark" (top plate) from where a flash gnawed it´s way through the coating back in the day. C220 in background, inexpensive and allows for multiple optics, so quite nice for a TLR. The 50 and 28 might end up getting sold to fund a 35, or i might switch Ultron to Elmarit, not sure yet. Not a big fan of changing lenses whilst on the move though.

Crappy iPhone photo, all my work is on film, so no other digital available atm. She deserves a better photo though, love this camera!

What a beauty!

I have the silver chrome equivalent of your black chrome M6 classic and love it ;-)

Baby's first Leica. M6ttl bought from a guy who bought it new in 2002, took fifty rolls and decided he wasn't good enough to use it. Weird, I never let being bad at something stop me doing anything. Anyway he stored it for the last few years before deciding to pass it on.

I grew up wanting an M6. A few years ago I decided to give rangefinders a try by buying a Kiev. Found I liked taking the pictures but didn't like snapping every third film due to jams, or the light leaks, or the speed speed dial that felt like grinding shrapnel, or the lack of frame lines, or the utterly fascinating 3d puzzle you had to play to load a film. But the rangefinder was great, and the Jupiter 8 lens (for pocket change) was a gem, so I stuck with it. Till now.

Can't wait to see my first results. I'm doing some dawn, dusk and street lit shots with Portra 800. Anyone done anything similar? It's been a while since I was this excited about my shooting.

Just FYI the above shot was with an EP-1, at 2.5 seconds, lighting by an iPad. :) should probably wipe the fingerprints off next time.

I just bought another used M6 'classic' in black chrome. There are a lot of nice ones for sale now and reasonable pricing. I would really love to have a black paint M6 but I would get too confused with the 'backwards direction' shutter dial and the 'correct direction' exposure LEDs. :)
