charlesphoto99 Posted December 6, 2022 Share #21 Posted December 6, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm a pro, but I won't work with at least 32GB - my main squeeze 16" MacBook Pro has 64GB and when I get a Studio it will be the same. I tried an M1 Mini with 16GB and it was a dog in LR and PS (esp if one wanted a browser, Pages, etc open at the same time). If you plan on ONLY running LR or PS with no other apps running, then go for 8GB. But it will still swap a lot of memory, and that gets worrying about the life of the SSD.

With "just" 40 MP I am still able to work on my photos using just an iPad Pro. I use m11 and m10 r subsequently, the M1 ipad pro eats up all no problem, few months ago was iPad Pro 2018, bit struggling but gets it done just fine, experience is not good though especially with clone stamps etc
Al Brown Posted December 11, 2022 Share #23 Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) Reading this thread I am having an enormous headache in my left eye while seamlessly, effortlessly and casually processing and editing RAW files from GFX and M10-R on our company's 2015 MacBook Pro. Yes i concur, i used 2018 ipad pro it worked better than my intel based windows at that time but the M1 powered are just amazing in terms of experience
Hausen17 Posted December 14, 2022 Share #26 Posted December 14, 2022 I moved all of my editing the the M2 iPad Pro 16gb and it works flawlessly. Love using the Apple Pencil. I primarily use LR though, ocassionally I replace skies in PS which I pull out an M1 MacBook Air 13” which I think is 16gb RAM.
