Here we are at the end of October and still having beautiful, warm days. I'm very fortunate to live in a city that is an isthmus with large lakes on each side. Our home is just a very short walk from what is pictured here, which is actually the back yard of our good friends. There is no place on this planet where I'd rather have spent my life. Today my wife and I will take our usual 2.2 mile walk from this lake to the one on the other side of the isthmus and back. Welcome, dear visitor!
