Hello,

I have a quick question. I have searched online and the manual but can't figure out how to set the Q2 so I can utilize a 1/8000s shutter speed. The manual says to use Extended Electronic Shutter and you can get up to 1/40000s shutter. What other settings do I need to be aware of for this to be available?

Current Camera settings: ISO 1600, F/4, electronic shutter = extended.

Thanks,

Thatch2021

Set the Shutter Speed dial to 1/2000 then tap the Menu Button. Tap on the Shutter Speed box on the screen then either adjust the slider or use the rocker switch to set the desired shutter speed up to 1/40000.

I will give it a try thank you!!

Go into Menu page 2 and select the "eoectronic shutter". Set it to "extended". That is what you described in your post 1.

Now when you have set your speed dial to "a" (automatic) then the camera chooses up to 1/40'000s. Do not worry about that anymore.

When you are in shutter speed priority (speed dial NOT on "a") or in full manual mode then you have to choose your shutter speed above 1/2000s as described in post 2.

Stupid me who never read the manual! Could have avoided the purchase of the ND filter 🤪

Thanks for the info, it changes my life.
