PaulC Posted October 7, 2022 Share #1 Â Posted October 7, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I am trying to replace the film rewind crank, and I cannot loosen the screw underneath the flip-out handle. Is there a trick to doing it? Or is it more complicated than just removing the screw? Thank you.

Just loosen (not sure if i needs to be completely removed) the screw and then the rewind crank unscrews. The screw head is very, very, VERY tiny... I got the replacement part from Leica Store Miami...for $75 ! DAG also offers them for sale on his website occasionally...but asks quite a lot more for some strange reason??? 250swb Posted October 7, 2022 Share #3 Â Posted October 7, 2022 You need to undo two screws, the larger one directly underneath the rewind arm and on the axis of the rewind shaft, and the other a tiny locking screw adjacent to where the rewind crank handle sits in it's closed position. Undo both but only fully take out the screw that holds the rewind crank onto the rewind shaft, then with a screwdriver locking the claws of the rewind shaft you should be able to unscrew the rewind crank assembly off the shaft and replace it with anew one.
